South Africaaaa

Here we go 30°C sunny barely any clouds and the doc is on fire! Feels so good to be back in Capetown. It looks pretty much like last year though. They finished the new bus lanes and stations, but they forgot to buy ticketcounters so the buses are still in parking position;D

The next week looks really good! So we should get plenty of action!

BAM!!!

The winter finally arrived...was freezing cold today and I couldn't be f***ed going out windsurfing.
I've got quite a lot stuff to do for the University and I'm writing the travel story about the Mauritius trip at the moment. But all that doesn't really matter, because in about 3 weeks I'll be sitting in the plane with Leon and Henna, to score some warm and nice sessions in Capetown!

So one last destruction party weekend in Kiel then some studying ..... and then off we go to table view. Freakn' sweeeet ;)

Denmark again

This was my first week at the University of Kiel....So far so good. I don't have any lectures on Thursday and Friday, so looong weekends from now on ;-) As the forecast looked quite good and some friends of mine rented a house in Klitmoller, Henrik and I decided to extend the already long weekend even more and left Uni on Tuesday. The conditions weren't epic but it was fun sailing, and the temperatur was alright too. We spent the evenings in the sauna with a cold beer...god a house is up there is soo comfortable =) Now it's time for some studying before we hit to Sout Africa!

Mauritius

I spent the whole september on the beautiful island Mauritius. September is supposed to be one of the windiest months, so we took off with great expectations. Turns out, the wind conditions weren't quite as good as expected....we ended up doing a lot of snorkling, cliff jumping and finally some surfing. I felt like I improved a lot in surfing, so I'll get myself a nice shortboard in South Africa this winter, as my 6'10 is way to big. Of course we did get some days with decent conditions....
I don't want to write to much about the Mauritius trip, because there might be a travel story in the SURF mag soon. That's also the reason, why I don't want to upload the great watershots... So stay tuned for the whole story and more shots!

Epic Denmark Trip!

Its been quite a while since my last post here...I spent some time learning for my Abitur and made some trips to Denmark. After a passed all the exams with really good results, I partied heaps. Leon came back from Australia so that was one more reason to have the one or the other drink ;-) In July and August I worked on Sylt as a Surf and Sailing Instructor to save up some cash for the upcoming journeys. After Sylt I went to Denmark for a few days, as the forecast promised outstanding conditions! And windguru didn't let us down! It was epic!! Two days of maxed out 4,0qm sessions and then some good waves for surfing in Nörre Vorouper. Couldn't be better.
In a few days I'm hitting of to Mauritius-fingers crossed for some nice wavesailing!

Cape Verde

In April I convinced my family to spent some time with me on Cape Verde. I was really happy to spent a family vacation at a top windsurf destination. Unfortunatly we had quite a lot of bad luck with the wind and waves....turns out, We didn't get one proper windsurf wavesailing session! None of the famous wavespots worked so I ended up with some alright surfing sessions. I was disappointed as I kind of talked my family into this trip and in the end we didn't get good conditions. Anyway...shit happens, it was still a good trip-replaced the windsurfing by partying every night and surfing some small waves. Next time I go there, I book last minute and I take a close look at the forecast beforehand.

South Africa

...Im back in Germany since 18th january...and f*** it's cold!
I know, I've been pretty lazy with the news updates but I'll work on it, promise!
